Forward observer units are responsible of monitoring and communicating vital information of the battlefield during indirect fire support missions. Shepherd-Mil is a mini-UAV in the shape of a bird to discretely analyze the scenario without compromising the safety of the troops.

SHEPHERD-MIL is an autonomous aerial reconnaissance device. The SHEPHERD-MIL, designed to look as a bird, is also propelled by a 24V DC motor in order to provide an extremely silent solution. Thanks to the combination of these features, the SHEPHERD-MIL can get closer to the objectives to perform ISR and target acquisition missions without being recognized. On top of this, the device can reproduce the birds’ circular flight motions to give a natural touch to its flight movements.

Easy take off and landing
The SHEPHERD-MIL is a hand launched UAV that needs less than 6 minutes to be deployed. In addition, this UAV can land on any field, no runways are required.
