EXPAL, sponsor of the first Insensitive Munitions & Energetic Materials Technology Symposium (IMEMTS) held in Spain

    • EXPAL is member of the Insensitive Munitions European Manufacturers Group (IMEMG), since 2016.

    • The company collaborates with IMEMG’s Expert Working Group focused on reviewing of the Computer Models to aid the design and assessment of Insensitive Munitions performance.

EXPAL Systems, global defense and security company, has sponsored IMEMTS, the Insensitive Munitions & Energetic Materials Technology Symposium, taking place in Seville (Spain) between October 21st – 24th. It is the first time that this international Symposium is held in Spain. Under the title “Innovative IM&EM Solutions for Safer Operations in More Demanding Environments,” the Symposium addressed innovative solutions being developed for deployment through all stages of the life-cycle. The forum gathered nearly 200 international experts of over 20 nationalities.

The Insensitive Munitions European Manufacturers Group (IMEMG), the US National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), and the NATO Munitions Safety Information and Analysis Centre (MSIAC) host this joint industry/government symposium on Insensitive Munitions (IM) and Energetic Materials (EM).

Since 2016 EXPAL is member of IMEMG, the Insensitive Munitions European Manufacturers Group, together with the leading European companies of the defense sector. Besides, the company collaborates with IMEMG’s Expert Working Group focused on reviewing the of Computer Models to aid the design and assessment of Insensitive Munitions performance.

EXPAL contributes with its know-how, R&D and test capabilities to develop and implement new technologies, less sensitivity energetic materials and loading services and techniques to provide Insensitive Munitions to Armies and main defense companies. The company delivers this high-tech solution for a wide range of products for air, land and sea platforms, as well as for combat engineers.

EXPAL produces, develops and tests Insensitive Munitions, and owns a pilot plant and laboratories to produce samples and characterize new energetic materials. Besides, the company can carry out a complete Qualification Test Plan for any kind of munitions, including IM tests.

The Symposium addressed innovative solutions being developed for deployment through all stages of the life-cycle. The forum gathered nearly 200 international experts of over 20 nationalities.
